Sustainability and quality are Coppertops governing principles. We prioritize:

1. Using certified organic, sustainably produced, compostable, and otherwise environmentally sensitive materials – like organic cotton towels, recycled content paper, vegetable inks, and cellulose-based packaging
2. Favoring local and domestic sourcing and family-owned vendors as a way of both supporting independent businesses and reducing our carbon footprint
3. Working with suppliers and retailers who are committed to safe and equitable labor conditions
4. Building relationships across our supply chain and distribution that have a deeper social mission – for example, working with Sox Place Printing – whose proceeds fund a local youth shelter – for screen printing.

Our rapid distribution growth and expanded product line have demanded that we be ever more creative to ensure that we meet our self-imposed standards. Increasingly, our product development is focused on developing products that are reusable by a gift recipient even after a gift has been unwrapped.  When necessary, we choose extra labor and reduced profits to ensure that we are delivering on our sustainability commitment. We believe that our loyalty to these commitments will help raise expectations of “sustainability,” establish us as leaders in the industry and help sustain the planet for future generations.
